Emma Stone’s Zombieland outfit
Welcome, Maykazine and Yahoo! Answers readers!
I’m still surprised that so many people were inspired by Emma Stone’s Zombieland getup, but it’s great to know I’m not alone! After she got back from vacation, Costume Designer Magali Guidasci jotted down the basics of what Wichita wore and sent ‘em my way:
The Jacket – Turns out Wichita’s motorcycle jacket is made by one of my favorite designers, Diesel. Guidasci adds that it was altered, washed, and aged down. So if you don’t have three years to wear in a jacket, you’ve got options to make it look instantly vintage!
The Shirt – (The Shirt That Started It All) EXPRESS, yes, Express. Not James Perse. Not Michael Stars. Express. And altered. That signature seam down the back of Emma’s white burnout V-neck was actually executed to achieve a more exact fit to Emma’s body.
The Jeans – The California staple, Levi’s, of course. (For those who don’t know, Levi Strauss and Company started out as the primary supplier of denim to Californians during the Gold Rush. And that’s your fashion history lesson of the day.)
The Boots – Oh, the boots! Everybody and their mamas have been asking about the boots. Turns out Susan Kim was spot-on in identifying them as Bandolinos. (I love Bandolinos! Well-constructed, stylish, and affordable – I still have mine from high school prom…Seven years ago. [Dang.]) Unfortunately, the style Emma’s wearing is from last year, but Guidasci forwarded this link to some very similar Bandolino Castalinas out of this current season. The Castalinas have a buckle that you could potentially have altered, depending on how authentic you want to be to the Wichita wardrobe.
It sounds like getting things done custom is the way to go for looks that really look like you. For Emma’s boots, even though the Bandolinos are a soft riding boot, Guidasci had them altered “since [Emma] has very thin calves.”

And if anybody is wondering…the exact boots Emma wore are Bandolino Edwena and you can still find them at shoebuy.com and zappos I believe. I also snagged a brand new pair on Ebay!!
Look around. I did. They still have them a few places.
Thank you for the tip, Amy!
